• Enhanced Signal Processing: Provides expanded Keyphasor signal processing capabilities compared to previous designs while maintaining complete backward compatibility in form, fit, and function with existing Keyphasor modules for legacy systems

• Complete Replacement: The revised 149369-01 module completely replaces the previous Keyphasor Module PWA 125792-01

• Flexible Configuration: The 3500 machinery protection system can accept up to four Keyphasor signals for regular setups, and up to eight Keyphasor signals for paired configurations

3. Applications and Configurations

• TMR Applications: When Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) applications require a system Keyphasor input, the 3500 system should use two Keyphasor modules operating in parallel to provide both primary and secondary Keyphasor signals to other modules in the rack

• Paired Configurations: Systems with more than four Keyphasor inputs can use paired arrangements if there are no more than four primary Keyphasor input signals

• Speed and Vibration Measurement: Keyphasor signals (once-per-revolution or multiple-per-revolution event pulses from rotating shafts or gears) allow 3500 monitor modules and external diagnostic equipment to measure shaft rotational speed and vector parameters such as 1X vibration amplitude and phase

• Main Module: Requires 1 half-high front slot

• I/O Module: Requires 1 full-high rear slot

• Rack Space: For installation in a full-high slot, a half-high primary module requires a unique mounting adapter

 

5. Isolated Keyphasor I/O Module

The system also offers an Isolated Keyphasor I/O Module for applications where Keyphasor signals are connected in parallel with numerous other devices and where isolation from other systems (such as control systems) is required
