Description

GE ACC-5595-208 2 Gb/s Reflective Memory Switch with 8 Fiber Ports

The GE ACC-5595-208 2 Gb/s Reflective Memory Switch with 8 Fiber Ports is a managed reflective memory hub from the GE Fanuc / VMIC 5565 family, providing up to eight ports with small-form-factor pluggable (SFP) optical transceivers. It regenerates and routes serial optical signals between reflective memory nodes so multiple computers on different operating systems share the same memory space in real time. When a port loses signal or synchronization, the hub automatically bypasses the defective or disconnected node, keeping the rest of the network running without interruption.

Key Specifications:

Brand: GE Fanuc
Model: ACC-5595-208
Type: Reflective Memory Hub Assembly (managed)
Series: VMIC 5565 Reflective Memory network
Data Rate: 2 Gb/s (fiber optic)
Ports: Up to 8, using SFP optical transceivers
Fault Handling: Automatic port bypass on loss of signal or synchronization
Application: Real-time data sharing, multi-node memory mirroring, distributed test and control systems
Country of Origin: USA

GE ACC-5595-208 2 Gb/s Reflective Memory Switch with 8 Fiber Ports is what makes a 5565 reflective memory network practical: it cleans up and forwards optical signals so every node reads the same data as if from one shared memory, with no CPU overhead per node. The automatic bypass means a dead card, a pulled fiber, or a crashed node never takes down the rest of the ring. For real-time simulation, test stands and distributed control where latency and reliability decide everything, this hub is the piece that keeps the network alive.
