- Insert the 216EA61B into rack divisions 8–9 or 10–11 on the 216MB66 rack; the B448C bus connector engages at the rear.
- Connect the analog signal cables from the 216GW61 input transformer module to connectors “a” and “b” — do not wire CT/PT secondary circuits directly to this unit.
- Verify the 24 V auxiliary supply LED is lit; internal 5 V generation is automatic.
- Channel assignment and scaling are configured via the portable HMI on the 216VC62a processor, not via on-board switches.
- On ALARM, check for VREF (reference voltage out of tolerance), ASE (analog section supply failure), or RAM/ROM error in the device status register.
